What you need to join us.

Care at home is a regulated job in Scotland, so some of this is set by law rather than by us.

  • A PVG scheme record

    Everyone working with protected adults joins the Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme through Disclosure Scotland. We will guide you through it if you are not already a member.

  • SSSC registration

    Care at home workers in Scotland must register with the Scottish Social Services Council and work to its codes of practice.

  • The right temperament

    Punctual, patient and genuinely interested in the person in front of you. Experience helps; how you treat people matters more.

  • A willingness to keep learning

    Qualifications can be worked towards once you are with us. What you need on day one is the willingness.
